So I haven’t been posting much of anything lately. The latest was the mixtape, which had an awesome response actually.
I’ve been looking around at a lot of other solid blogs around me, which are maintained by good friends, and been feeling a bit left out because I’m honestly slacking bigtime with posts and they’re killing it every day.
So I started wondering why this is.
Then it clicked, when I read a post by Andy on Damn I Wish I Thought of That, called “You can’t just take it”
The article is the author’s view on people reblogging his stuff.
Then it hit me – I don’t want to be another reblogging blog, which I have pretty much been since starting.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I use Google Reader every day, and judging by a lot of other blogs, it looks like they follow similar blogs, and I’m not a fan of reading the same stuff over and over again.
I like the hype and everything, and at first I just wanted to put my friends on to some things that I’m reading that I think are interesting. But it seems like most of my friends who read blogs read a lot of the same ones as me. So what’s the point in me writing about things that you are probably going to see everywhere else anyways.
I’ll end this rant for now, and until I discover my love for writing original blog posts, you can expect things to keep going the same way as they already are. Sorry about the brutal honesty and maybe i’m shooting myself in the foot, but it’s how i feel. I’d rather deliver a quality experience for people and not hand-me-down material from other, better blogs out there.
